10:46am

Muddled through Week Three: Created a Flickr account, in the process revealing far more personal information to Yahoo than I wanted to (I read a few months ago that Yahoo ratted on a Chinese user who is a dissident to his government, so I assume any information is up for grabs if the price is right); uploaded a picture and cartoon from my computer, clicked through the various fun Flickr applications, created a CD cover. The CD cover experience will have real world (as in Info Desk) use--I think I could step a library user through it.

Now can I turn off the diabolical machine and use the rest of this lovely rainy day to READ?
Had to ask Albert what the next step was to make the PGCMLS blog list. This is so painful that it must be good for me. Does the seal who learns to play the Stars Spangled Banner on auto horns benefit in some way, beyond getting a fish for his efforts?

23 Things

What a Playground! I have just muddled my way through the first 2, or possibly 3 items in the 23 Things list.

I have made a contract--in my lexicon, that turns playground into Work, Obligation, Stress, but I soldier on.

I attended a workshop on blogging last year. I was happy to learn what it was and how it worked, more or less, but Emily Dickenson came unbidden and parodied to my mind:

I'm Nobody, who are you?

...how dreary to be Sombody
How public like a Frog
To tell your name the livelong day
In a self-admiring blog

But here I am, exposed at last.
